July schedule of classes

Finally, July’s schedule is up! Check it out. I can’t believe it’s the end of the first half of 2012. What a ride, what a ride.

(check out  descriptions of the classes and other details after the jump)

Make Plant-based pizza perfection on the 7th (Saturday) – let me share my love for potato pizza and vegan pepperoni with you. While we will be making a traditional crust the whole grain way, we’ve got a guest star: a super simple gluten-free crust that’s also yeast-free and quick to make.

If you’ve got knife-phobia or feel like you need to learn more in the knife-wielding department, get schooled in Killer knife skills on the 11th (Wednesday). Proper slicing and chopping techniques are super essential to cooking and loving cooking. Also, you’ll learn how to care for your knives so they’ll outlast you.

Learn how to utilize quinoa (a superfood wholegrain hailing from Peru) in a myriad of dishes in Quinoa Cookery on the 14th (Saturday). Make it into a green salad, croquettes, lasagna, stuff it into peppers.

If you’re a snacky person and need fresh merienda ideas for the kids or for work, then Snacks and Stuff on the 18th (Wednesday) is your class. Ditch that bag of chips and can of soda from the corner convenience store and make a stash of healthful, nourishing snacks.

Are you craving for your favorite Pinoy breakfast dishes but hate that it’s so sinful? Don’t have a breakdown, attend No muss, no fuss Pinoy brunch on the 21st (Saturday). Oats caldo, tocino, tofu omelette, tsokolate made with pili milk… Is your mouth watering? I know mine is.

The 25th (Wednesday) is D-day – this means we’re going on a dimsum-making bonanza. Siomai, siopao, pot stickers, spring rolls – AKA things you wish were vegetarian when you hit a dim sum restaurant. Get your fix.

Lastly, make glorious desserts without the use of an oven in Dessert mayhem: Get un-baked on the 28th (Saturday).
