Bacolod, get ready for some vegetable action, Revolution-style!

Why hello there. I just wanted to let y’all know about this nifty festival happening around the Negros Occidental region — which I am also excited to announce that I’ll be participating in!!!

Catch me on at the 6th Negros Organic Farmers Festival on the 19th of December, Monday, as I cook a few of my favorite plant-based dishes and talk about how to make vegetables look and taste sexy, so you can look and feel sexy. Truth!

So far, fifteen chefs from Manila and Bacolod have been invited to the Organic Cookfest - of which 3 are women (and of which 2 are spreading the vegetable love). I am proud to be 1 of the 3! Women, represent! I am honored to be working alongside these lovely ladies — Alice Ty of Vegan Macrobiotics by Chef Alice Ty and Gaita Fores of Cibo. (trivia: Gaita is my idol. I hope to be able to talk to her at the cookfest.)

Seriously Manila, you got some stepping up to do. Bacolod is on its sixth organic festival, where is our first?

Hey Negrenses, I can’t wait to visit your lovely city for the first time and see your luscious produce in all their glory!

To those interested, do check out the festival’s Facebook page here and Facebook event here.

Here is the festival’s press release for your perusal. See you in Bacolod, ladies and gents!
